December 29 (ChainDD) The Office of Chengdu Leading Group for New Economy Development recently issued the "Action Plan for Metaverse Industry Development of Chengdu City (2022-2025)".

It aims at proactively grasping the development opportunities of the metaverse industry, promoting the deeply integrated development of the digital and real economy, and better promoting the construction of an international consumption center city.

This is the first policy document in Chengdu to focus on the metaverse.

According to the document, by 2025, Chengdu's metaverse based industrial system will take shape, and the scale of the metaverse related industries will reach 150 billion yuan.

At the same time, Chengdu will build a complete industrial chain of metaverse, study and master core technologies, introduce and cultivate a group of high quality enterprises, integrate to create application scenarios, develop and reserve a batch of urban IP.

The city will play a leading role in industrial transformation and upgrading and urban governance.
