The Number of Digital RMB Pilot Application Scenarios in Shanghai Has Exceeded 1.36 Million

It is understood that Shanghai has become one of the most important gathering places for financial technology companies in China. The innovation pilot of the People's Bank of China (PBOC) and the Securities Regulatory Commission in the field of financial technology has been launched in Shanghai, and the number of participating projects in Shanghai ranks among the top in the country.

By the end of June 2023, the number of digital RMB pilot application scenarios in Shanghai has exceeded 1.36 million.

In addition, Shanghai also landed the country's first single multilateral central bank digital currency bridge cross-border scene and the country's first single cross-regional payment scene.
